The Gift of Gab

Recalling the stories in which kings met sultans and a variety of gifts were exchanged as a sign of mutual respect and honour, this installation similarly proposes a series of gifts. The installation is formed by a selection of individual works, hung and placed together in cages, casting shadows, creating patterns on the ground, ceiling and walls. The works on display are a curtain of carved wood, a pillar casting shadows like inverse sunrays, a wall of thin strips of mirror creating an instant animation as one passes it, a corner of 10.000 stapled and torn off pieces of paper, and finally, a version of the work How to Act.
