Skyhole
2022
A time travelled connection between kite flying in China, where I have lived for a number of years and making a point in time. In China, kites are most often in the shape of dragons, but once they are high up in the sky, they invariably lose this distinction, appearing only as small dots. So I decided to design a kite as a dot, that, when flying, forms an ellipsis, like that punctuation mark at the end of a sentence. In this occasion, the year is 2022, the kite had become an inflatable structure, floating in the night sky, like porthole onto the universe.
